THE THESIS

The group’s shipping and logistics vertical spans freight and passenger infrastructure — EMG on the cargo side, and Central Bus Station Georgia as the country’s intercity passenger hub.

INSIDE THE VERTICAL

EMG — Express Mail Georgia — has operated since 2011 from bases in Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi. It runs the whole chain rather than one link of it: first-mile collection, warehousing, packaging, customs clearance and door-to-door delivery to more than 150 countries, for consumer senders, e-commerce shippers and business clients alike.

Central Bus Terminal Georgia is the passenger half of the vertical — the country’s intercity hub, connecting travellers across Georgia and into the neighbouring region for more than fifty years. Between them the two businesses cover freight and people over the same geography, which is where the operating knowledge overlaps: routes, borders, customs practice and seasonal demand.
