David Zgudadze is Vice President and Regional Director at Mastercard, covering Georgia and Armenia, with over 20 years of experience in digital payments, e-commerce and financial infrastructure. He leads Mastercard’s business and market development across both markets, working with banks, fintechs, merchants and regulators to expand digital acceptance, modernise payment infrastructure and introduce new products and capabilities to the region. Prior to Mastercard, he held senior digital and e-commerce leadership roles in the Georgian banking sector during the formative period of the country’s online payments market. A certified company director (IoD) with a double MBA from Grenoble École de Management and the Caucasian Business School, he is a proponent of Georgia as a laboratory for payments innovation, combining commercial execution with regulatory fluency and institutional leadership.
