THE THESIS
Centora’s commodities arm originates and sources primary and refined non-ferrous, ferrous, EV and precious metals, distillates and selected agricultural fertilisers from mining companies, refineries, energy companies and producers. The desk enables source-to-source intermediation only, without chains of middlemen, and can arrange mining and trade finance alongside the physical flow.
INSIDE THE VERTICAL
The desk covers six product verticals: metal ores and concentrates, refined metals, precious and EV metals, ferrous and non-ferrous scrap, distillates and crudes, and agricultural fertilisers. Material is originated directly from mining companies, refineries, energy companies and producers, then placed with vetted intermediary and end-user off-takers — gold and the electrification metals, jet fuel and diesel grades, rock phosphates, urea and DAP among them.
What defines the model is what it leaves out. The desk works source to source: the hurdles to a transaction are identified and negotiated before buyer and seller are introduced, and there is never a chain of intermediaries between them. Trade and mining finance can be arranged alongside the physical flow where a transaction needs it.
